The new Porsche Cayman is a good performing and fantastic handling car. The car, especially in S trim, won’t leave you disappointed when driving quickly in a straight line, but it is in the corners that it will really put a smile on your face. After all the world isn’t flat.

This video is from a trip were Porsche took the new Cayman to the Las Vegas. It mainly contains footage of the car being driven on the track at speed. The video is taken during the night, so the track’s lights make for some stunning visuals. Having seen the new car in person it looks even better in person than it does on film.

Video: Life With A Ferrari Dino 208 GT4

Ferrari Dino 208 GT4

The Ferrari Dino 208 GT4 is an often overlooked car. The first problem it has (just like the 308 GT4) is that it has a back seat. The next issue is that the engine in its big brother 308 GT4 is much bigger. The 208 GT4 was created to get around the Italian tax that was put on engines with a displacement of over two liters.

As has been said before, there is no replacement for displacement. But is that true with the 208? The car has very ’70s styling that looks great and even though it isn’t as big a V8 as the 308, it has what is perhaps an even better sound. One of the other greats things about it is that it is one of the Ferraris that can be had for a reasonable price (OK, so it was badged a Dino).

This video features an interview with Bradley Price who has owned one of these cars for over a year. He gives his take on the car and lets you know just why he loves his car so much.

Video: The Racing Story Of The Porsche 917

By   August 1, 2013

Porsche and racing go hand and hand. The German performance car maker has a history of being one of the most successful companies when it comes to winning races. Many great racing machines have been made by the company, but none is more legendary than the Porsche 917. This was a car that in the late ’60s and early ’70s could go from 0 to 124 mph in 5.3 seconds and keep going to just over 240 mph.

This video is about the history of the 917 and how it was such an incredible car. It features interviews with people involved in racing the car including legendary racing driver, Derek Bell. It contains some great vintage racing footage and gives a sense of what the car was like to drive.

The video is for the “Porsche by Design: Seducing Speed” exhibit at the North Carolina Museum of Art. The exhibit will have two 917s including a 16 cylinder car that was never raced, but was developed by Porsche as a possible next generation car.

Video: New Porsche 911 GT3 (991) Launching From 0 To 124 MPH

By   July 31, 2013

The New Porsche 911 GT3

The New Porsche 911 GT3

The new Porsche 911 GT3 looks like it is going to be a very fast and somewhat controversial car. The controversy is largely over the fact that only a seven-speed dual clutch PDK transmission is available in a car that is known as a driver’s car. No matter the transmission and how purists feel about not being able to get one with a traditional manual transmission, the car is very fast.

This video shows just how quick it is. The video shows the speedometer as the 991 GT3 uses launch control to go from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph). The short video shows you how quickly the speed picks up and how those last 500 revs are just insane. The GT3 is certainly the best value for a modern supercar and just wait until the RS model is made available.
