2014 is going to be quite a year for GT racing fans. The year will see both Ferrari and Porsche re-enter the top level of racing at the 24 Hours of LeMans. Beyond this Grand-Am and ALMS will merge to form a new racing league that should make for some exciting action.

Well today a press conference announced the new name of the merged racing series. The new racing series will be called United SportsCar Racing and should provide some great action. Beyond the new name the series shared the new logo (pictured on a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car above) for the racing series. They also have a new website www.unitedsportscar.com to follow all the news leading up to the 2014 running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Make sure to check out the site as you can win tickets to that very same 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

There are still a lot of questions that various teams have about the new rules and circuits that will be used, but we now know for sure the new name, logo, website and the first race. Let us know in the comments below what you think of the United SportsCar Racing name and logo.
