The Porsche 911 has long been the measure by which other sports cars are measured. In spite of its rear-engine layout, the 911 offers great performance and handling to match. Plus with the engine hanging out back you get loads of traction.

The newest 991 variant has continued to up the performance level for Porsche. So when evo decided to test the performance of the new Jaguar V6S F-Type they decided to test it against a Porsche 911 Cabriolet. They test the two on a track to get a sense of which is faster around the track.

This video shows the two cars battling it out on the track. The cars are driven by Tiff Needell and he puts them through their paces. He also gives his thoughts on what he likes and what he doesn’t on both cars.
