Project 50 Takes Three Porsche 911s On The Track
This year marks the 50 years of the Porsche 911 and one of the celebrations of the rear-engined sports car is called Project 50. The idea is to take two classic 911s as well as a new 991 and tour the racing tracks of Europe. The classic cars were featured in some historic races and both cars took laps on each track.
This video shows highlights of Project 50. It follows Gordon Robertson as well as his daughter as they visit nine different circuits over the course of three days. There is also footage from some special guests, including future Porsche LMP1 driver Mark Webber and Top Gear’s the Stig (feel free to put in your own some say… in the comments; but all we know is he’s called the Stig).
The best part of Project 50 was that it also raised money for cancer research.
