Porsche Will Field Two Factory Backed Cars for the Rolex 24 at Daytona

Porsche Will Field Two Factory Backed Cars for the Rolex 24 at Daytona

The wait is almost over! This weekend the first race in the newly formed United Sportscar Racing series will be run. The series that was the result of the merger of ALMS and Grand-Am will open up the season with the Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The race should provide plenty of good action. For Porsche racing fans there will be two factory back cars running in the race along with other private cars driving the German marquee. It will also be the first race that Flying Lizard will be racing in Audi R8s, which will be odd for Porsche fans. Ferrari, Aston Martin and Corvette also look to have promising seasons in the highly competitive GT class.

So, will you have your butt firmly planted on the couch for a full 24 hours to watch the race or will you not be watching it? Let us know if you will be watching the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the comments.

I hope the “genius” executives at Fox Sports Network that decided to break up coverage of this event across 3 different Faux Sports channels and 1 website are soon to find themselves unemployed and sucking d¡©k for spare change to feed their families. Bring back SPEED and give us a live stream so that all fans (international) can have access.
