All-Wheel Drive or Rear Wheel Drive, is the Porsche 911 Carrera S or 4S Better on the Track

All-Wheel Drive or Rear Wheel Drive, is the Porsche 911 Carrera S or 4S Better on the Track?

What do you think is better on the track? An all-wheel drive (AWD) Porsche 911 Carrera 4S or a rear-wheel drive (RWD) 991 Carrera S? Both cars have the same power output and can be ordered with the same basic specifications.

Beyond which car is a better drive which one do you think is more fun? Does the added traction of the AWD 4S make it more or less fun to drive?

This video from evo Magazine attempts to answer these questions. The cars are both similarly equipped. Both cars have the power pack which brings their power output up to 430 horsepower, but they do have two main differences.

The 991 Carrera S is equipped with a PDK dual clutch transmission and is RWD. Where the 911 Carrera 4S has the 7-speed manual transmission and of course it is AWD.

On the wet track in the footage will the all-wheel drive system of the 4S overcome the faster shifts of the PDK transmission in the S? And which car is the more fun to drive?
