Matt Farah Drives a Street / Track Porsche 911 (964)
The Porsche 911 (964) is a good performing car, but it sometimes gets a bad reputation for poor handling. Compared to modern 911s it doesn’t handle quite as neutrally, but in the hands of an expert some incredible things can be done with the stock setup.
This video features Matt Farah borrowing a friend’s track prepped 964 and taking it on a race track. The car is highly modified and yet has an understated look to it. The owner wanted to drive it all-year around and since he lives in the North East that means driving in snow.
While the rear-engine layout is already good for snow an all-wheel drive car is what you really need in the slick conditions. Because of this he had this 964 made into an all-wheel drive car that can be driven to the track, raced and then driven back home.
Watch the video which is kind of a teaser for the more detailed video on Drive+, the new paid YouTube channel. The new subscription channel has met with mixed reviews and we want to know if you would pay a subscription fee to watch Drive programming online? This could be interesting because if they are successful others will likely follow. Let us know your thoughts on the video and Drive+ in the comments.
