Porsche 911 GT2

Porsche 911 GT2

The Porsche 911 GT2 (997) was one of the last great pure driving high performance Porsche. It was the last generation of the GT2 with hydraulic steering and a traditional manual transmission.

While a new 991 GT2 has not yet been spied, based on the GT3 it will have a PDK transmission and electronic power steering. It would also likely have rear-wheel steering similar to the 911 Turbo S.

But what if a 997 GT2 is just a bit too much of a sleeper? Well, Magnus Walker and Alex Ross of SharkWerks got together and made an incredible car out an all ready very good machine. The modified GT2 has a color scheme that is very Magnus and the engine has been tuned to get over 700 horsepower.

Jay Leno gets a look at the rear-engined sports car and all of the details of the turbocharged beast are shown. Then he gets a chance to take it for a drive and see just how nicely it drives.
