Rally Racing Porsche 911 GT3

When most think of the 911’s racing heritage they likely think of Le Mans victories. However, the rear-engined sports car has a long successful history in rally racing.

The 911 with its rear-engined layout and its bulletproof design made it perfect for challenging rally courses as far back as the ’60s. Even the 959, which in many ways is the basis for the modern 911, was made for the Group B Rally.

In this video a rally prepped Porsche 911 GT3 RS is driven hard on back roads and trails. It features the purpose built car making some very quick turns that only a skilled racer could make using the engine layout to their advantage.
