Aston Martin Vulcan
The track only Aston Martin Vulcan (yes it sounds like something out of Star Trek) will make its North American Debut at the New York International Auto Show. The very powerful and purposeful car isn’t meant for laid-back luxury GT Crusing.
No, it is designed to beat just about anything on a circuit. The expensive track toy made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show, but this will be the first time the public can see it on our shores.

The Vulcan packs over 800 horsepower from a 7.0-liter V12 engine. With that kind of power from a non-hybrid it is no wonder you can’t drive it on public roads.
Beyond the powerful engine you get a car that has a lot of weight reduction. This includes the use of carbon fiber materials and a stripped interior. You also get the necessary safety equipment like a full cage. Beyond this the suspension is race tuned and it has nice large carbon-ceramic brakes on all four wheels.
The purpose built car will make a perfect addition to the collection of any weekend racer. Well at least any racer with a good amount of cash. How much will it cost? Try $2.3 million. For that price maybe it will be able to take you to the final frontier.
