The Nurburgring is one of the toughest and most famous racing tracks in the world. For Bentley it is the ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race held at the circuit that is the next challenge for their Continental GT3 racing program.

The British automaker may be known for its high-end luxury cars, but it has quite a racing history. The GT3 looks to continue in the footsteps of the Bentleys that came before it.

To give the Continental GT3 a better chance at taking victory in the 24 hour contest, the company is entering two factory backed cars. In addition to this a third customer car will be entered in the race.

Of the endurance race driver, Christian Menzel, said the below.

Christian Menzel, car #84: “Everyone who has raced at the ‘Ring before knows what a unique adventure this race is. While Bentley’s experience here is limited, the team have scored some great results in the VLN races, and both the car and the team are ready for it. I’m confident that we can be quick, but the most important thing is to be careful and stay out of trouble – and for that we’ll need some luck!”

Andy Myrick added the below.

Andy Meyrick, car #85: “The 24-hour race at the Nürburgring is definitely the most gruelling of our calendar this year, but I’m really excited about the challenge. We’ve worked really hard in the VLN rounds to develop a setup for the Continental GT3 that will work well, but the race is very unpredictable. A lot of our competitors have been coming here for years, but we’ll learn quickly and push as hard as we can for a good finish.”

The ADAC Zurich 24-Hour Race starts on May 16th and you can follow how the Bentley Continental GT3s fair in the race by following the @BentleyComms Twitter account.
