Rennsport Reunion V Poster

Rennsport Reunion V Poster

Rennsport Reunion V is fast approaching. The gathering of Porsche racing machines at Laguna Seca is one of the few times that one can see these historic cars in action.

The event features a lot of competition cars that saw action at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is fitting then that the official poster for the event would feature past cars that had success at Le Mans and the hope for future success.

The artwork by automotive artist, Dennis Simon, features the 356 of 1951, that gave Porsche their first class winner at the famed 24 hour race. Of course the mighty 917 which managed the first overall victory for the marquee with Hans Herrmann and Dick Attwood in 1970 is included. Then there is the 919 hybrid prototype with which Porsche returned to the top category of sports car racing in 2014 after a 16 year absence.

Since Rennsport Reuinion V is in September, and the 2016 Le Mans race will happen in just over a week, it is very possible that all three models on the poster will have managed a victory. Either way, the opportunity to see a 917 and 919 at the same event are very rare and any automotive enthusiast will enjoy the sight.

The event featuring historic cars and their drivers will be held from September 25th to the 27th, 2015. You can get more information at porscherennsportreunion.com
