Getting to see vintage racers on the in action instead of just on display is a rare treat. But what about the future of the performance car? They have that covered at Automotive Alley.
The alley is a located in the garages underneath the premier pit row suites. This is where manufactures will show their heritage along side their future models. Brands that will have a display include Porsche, BMW and Jaguar.
Examples of new cars scheduled to be on display include the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro and the new Acura NSX. These will be very nice to see, but Ford may end up having one of the best displays this year.
The Shelby GT350 is this year’s featured marquee, so plan to see the new version of the muscle car. The American car maker will also be displaying the new Ford GT along side with historic GT40 racers. This will give you a chance to see the company’s future supercar along with the car that is known as the Ferrari killer.
“Racing has propelled the success of Ford Motor Company and our products since 1901,” said Henry Ford III, Marketing Manager, Ford Performance. “We believe that the spirit of competition can drive innovation and we have taken learnings from the track and applied them to the vehicles you see on the road today.”
