Aston Martin Vulcan
The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Monterey Car Week that surrounds it is one of the top automotive events in the world. It is a chance for many automakers to show their new cars to the public as well as to potential buyers.
For Aston Martin there will be four notable new cars at the event. The Aston Martin Vulcan, DB9 GT, DBX and Lagonda Taraf will all be on display.
Recently, the Vulcan has received much of the press. The track-only car (although there are rumors of a street version) has a name out of Star Trek and performance to match. It is powered by a V12 engine and offers over 800 horsepower from a naturally aspirated power plant.
The Aston Martin DBX concept will also get plenty of attention as it makes its North American debut at Aston Martin Estate on August 13th. The car made a surprise global debut at the Geneva Motor Show and since this time it has been confirmed for production.
The British luxury performance car maker is known for making some of the best GT cars in the world. The DB9 GT is no exception to that and looks to be an outstanding machine. It has classic Aston Martin styling and a powerful 6.0-liter V12 engine sitting up front. The power plant offers plenty of kick outputting a very good 540 horsepower.
Need a performance car with four doors that has plenty of comfort in the back seat? Then the Lagonda Taraf may be right for you. The design draws influences from the 1976 William Towns-designed Lagonda, but with modern materials such as plenty of carbon fiber. The Lagonda Taraf will be making its first public appearance in North American at the invite only Aston Martin Estate and to the public at the Quail on August 14th.
