2016 Chevrolet Camaro
Chevrolet has announced pricing for the sixth generation 2016 Camaro. The car is lighter and more powerful than the outgoing models.
While styling changes are subtle for the next gen. car we think that it will be a very popular generation of the car thanks to its further improvements on the performance front. So, just how much will the 2016 models cost?
The Camaro 1LT will start at $26,695 and for the much more powerful 1SS that number jumps to $37,295.
The base 1LT is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 275 horsepower. Sitting above it is a 335 horsepower V6 model. But most of us would want the Camaro SS with a 6.2-liter LT1 V8 that pumps out 455 horsepower.
“The all-new 2016 Camaro builds on what made the Camaro the segment leader for five years,” said Todd Christensen, Camaro marketing manager. “It will reset the bar in the segment with even greater levels of performance, new technologies not found on any other car in the segment, and more choices that enable customers to take personalization farther than ever before.”
“The 1LT trim level has long been one of the most popular for Camaro. We expect it will be even more popular as the 2016 Camaro 1LT is priced less than the 2015 model and offers significantly more standard features and technologies.”
Beyond announcing the official pricing the online Camaro Visualizer has gone live and it will allow for buyers to see the various options available for the American muse car. The first cars should hit showrooms near the end of the year or early next year.
