Porsche 919 Hybrid
This season has been a very good one for Porsche in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) series. Of course the historic 24 Hours of Le Mans win is the biggest highlight of the year, but the famed endurance race is just the beginning.
The Porsche 919 Hybrid has been a huge success for the German performance car maker. The latest victory over Audi and Toyota in the top LMP1 class took place in Fuji this past weekend.
The six hour race saw the 919 driven by Timo Bernhard, Brendon Hartley and former Formula One driver Mark Webber. To further help keep Porsche in a firm lead in the manufacture championship points the other 919 driven by Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb finished in second place.
The season is quickly coming to an end with just two more races remaining. The next race is the 6 Hours of Shanghai on November 1st. Plenty of action is still ahead, do you think Porsche, Audi or Toyota will end up taking the championship when all is said and done?
