On November 17th the BMW M6 GTLM will make its U.S. public debut at Daytona. The competition car will get some test runs on the 17th and 18th to help the BMW Team RLL get ready for the 2016 endurance racing season.

The team will be entering two M6 GTLMs in the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The BMW has already had testing at Sebring in late October, but Daytona provides the first public testing sessions.

The testing time at Sebring saw drivers Bill Auberlen, Dirk Werner and John Edwards at the wheel. Also getting time in the M6 at Sebring was 2014 GTLM driver champion Kuno Wittmer.

At the Daytona the test drivers will be Auberlen, Edwards, Lucas Luhr and BMW DTM driver Bruno Spengler. Spengler is familiar with BMW Team RLL as he raced with them in the 2015 Rolex 24 at Daytona.

The 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship begins with the 54th annual Rolex 24 At Daytona on January 30th and 31st, 2016.
