Spyker C8 Preliator

Spyker C8 Preliator

For the 2016 New York International Auto Show Spyker will be bringing their third-generation C8 Preliator. The hand built performance machine will make its North American debut on Thursday, March 24th.

For those fortunate enough to purchase one of these Spykers they won’t likely see another car like it driving around town. Only 50 models will be produced worldwide so exclusivity is guaranteed.

The “Preliator” name, means “fighter” or “warrior” in Latin. It is a fitting name as the Spyker name itself has a heritage of warplanes made between 1914 and 1918.

Powering the C8 Preliator is an Audi sourced V8 that has been supercharged. The engine with forced induction results in better performance for the C8 compared to the past two generations of the car.

“We are delighted to be back at the New York International Automobile Show to unveil the new Spyker C8 Preliator in one of our most important markets,” said Victor R. Muller, Spyker’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “Historically, Spyker has sold half of its production in the US, with a very large number of cars sold through the company’s first US dealer, Manhattan Motor Cars”.

The public will get its first chance to view the Spyker on March the 25th.
