Chevrolet Camaro SS
It is spring time and the 2016 Baseball season is almost here. We are just days away from the first pitch and Chevrolet continue a recent tradition that this year will feature the Camaro SS and Colorado.
Both vehicles have received much acclaim, in fact they were named Motor Trend’s car and truck of the year. Both cars will be positioned behind centerfield of Comerica Park in Detroit, Michigan.
Each vehicle will be place on top of the Chevrolet Fountain. Getting the car and truck into position, with the help of a crane, is a nerve racking three hour process.
“Chevrolet continues to enjoy a long-standing relationship with the Detroit Tigers,” said Paul Edwards, vice president, Chevrolet Marketing. “By putting Chevrolet power and performance on display in center field, we hope to inspire our fans and our home team with a winning season.”
The Chevrolet sponsored fountain features water displays and the sound of a growling tiger after each home run hit by the Detroit Tigers. For the past seven years Chevy has used the water feature to display select vehicles from their lineup.
“Last year, we were able to showcase our vehicles to nearly 3 million Tigers’ fans at Comerica Park and even more watching from home,” Edwards said. “We hope the Camaro SS and Colorado help stir the same emotions our home team does when they hit one out of the park.”
