Acura NSX Time Attack

2017 Acura NSX Time Attack

The prototype of the next generation of the Acura NSX has already been to Pikes Peak. However, it hasn’t made a high speed climb yet, instead being used as the pace car.

Now that the hybrid supercar is in production two specially prepped 2017 Acura NSX Time Attacks will make the climb up the side of the mountain. The cars will compete in the Time Attack 1 and 2 classes and will be driven by brothers James and Nick Robinson.

“Pikes Peak is like no other race in the world and offers a unique opportunity to showcase the power and performance of our products,” said Jon Ikeda, vice president and general manager of the Acura Division. “We are excited for this year’s ‘Race to the Clouds’ to test the endurance and engineering of the Acura NSX and our advanced powertrain technologies – as well as an expression of our racing spirit.”

The 100th running of Pikes Peak will start on June 26th. The Acura will also appear at a number of pre-race events including the popular Fan Fest in downtown Colorado Springs from 5pm to 10 pm MDT on Friday, June 24.
