McLaren 570GT MSO Interior

The special 570GT by MSO concept shows off some styling touches and a trick Electro-Chromic Roof. If that sounds like some crazy sci-fi thing, then you are pretty much right. Perfect for California’s sunny weather, the top allows for adjustments to make the top clear all the way to a dark tint. It uses a standard-fit glass roof with UV protection and adds a touch sensitive headliner that allows you to make the adjustments.

The 570GT gets a titanium exhaust system that is 30% lighter than the standard stainless steel version. MSO used their work on a similar system for the 675LT to help develop a fuller richer exhaust note. The heat shield for the system uses a gold titanium nitride tint that is visible through the rear air ducts. Making them visually more interesting they turn into a purple/blue color as the system heats and cools.

The concept gets Elite Pearl White paint and Pino Black accents on the wheels, side skirt, front and rear and door inserts, as well as interior details. Just like the normal 570GT the MSO concept gets a twin-turbocharged V8 making 562 horsepower and 443 lb.-ft. of torque.

0-60 mph comes in just 3.4 seconds and it can hit a top speed of 204 mph. All in a more practical GT package that offers over 22,050 cubic inches of storage space. The suspension has also been tuned to be more comfortable while eating away miles on the highway.

Paul Mackenzie, Executive Director of McLaren Special Operations, commented: “This is the second consecutive year that McLaren Special Operations has used the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to demonstrate our capabilities on Sports Series cars. Last year, soon after the launch of the 570S, we showed the 570S ‘by MSO’ which featured the uniquely formulated Mauvine Blue paint finish coupled with a bespoke interior finished in Carbon Black leather with coordinating detailing, carried through from the exterior colour. This year, closely following the reveal of the GT addition to the Sports Series family, we showcase the breadth of McLaren Special Operations personalisation work, this time focussing on bespoke engineering design and components. With its Electro Chromic Roof especially, the McLaren 570GT by MSO Concept would be well suited to the needs and demands of customers in sunnier and warmer climates.”

I think I would get a McLaren instead of a Ferrari if I had the cash. Of course that is a problem I don’t have.
