Porsche 718 Boxster S Or Lotus Elise Race 250

Our last questions was which would you choose a classic car or new car? Below are the comments that we found most interesting.

Each weekday we ask you a performance and/or luxury car question. After you submit your answers in the comments we post those that we think stood out most. Keep reading to see what you said to yesterday’s question.

Jake NP:

classic Mercedes but have owned newer cars since. Now I wish I had the classic back.

Niel:

Newer is always better because you get better technology.

Daniel M. Krause:

classic day in and day out. High tech is over rated .. Need to feel every bump in the road.

Marc Saegaert:

Seeing as how I’ve spent two thirds of a century living with the classics before they were classics (new MG’s, Healey’s, TR3s and 4s, Mercedes 190s, etc.), and then when they took on the patina and all that goes with it, I’ll take the new. There’s much to be said for the pure mechanical experience and sound of the classic Porsche’s, but there remains a wonderful mechanical connection to the new Porsche’s as well. And they continue to engineer plenty of visceral for my liking. So new it is for me.
