The new 2019 Corvette ZR1 is the ultimate American sports car. The 755 horsepower supercharged V8 powered performance machine is capable of a top speed of 212 mph in coupe form. 0-60 mph can be hit in under 3 seconds and the ZR1 starts at $119,995.
Of course the very first example of the 2019 Corvette ZR1 will likely fetch a bit more than that.
The first 2019 ZR1 will will be auctioned off by Barrett-Jackson with proceeds going to help the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation and the work it does to support wounded veterans through the Building for America’s Bravest program. With this being the fist modern ZR1 going on sale and the money going to a good cause, the price could end up pretty high.
“GM and Chevrolet are proud to honor and support the brave men and women of our armed forces,” said Steve Hill, GM vice president of U.S. Sales and Service. “With the proceeds from the auction of the Corvette ZR1, we will be able to offer additional support to some of our most severely wounded veterans through the Building for America’s Bravest effort.”
The American supercar will hit the auction block on January 20th, 2018 at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona.
