Bugatti Chiron Sport
The Geneva Motor Show has played host to many world debuts. This year there are a number of notable performance cars making their first appearance.
When a new Bugatti version is unveiled it is always noteworthy. In recent history, the hypercar maker has produced some of the fastest and most expensive machines in the world.
At this year’s Geneva Motor Show, Bugatti debuted the Chiron Sport. The new version of the Chiron supercar is 39 lbs. lighter than the standard version. Weight reduction comes from more extensive use of lightweight materials, including being the first car to feature carbon fiber windshield wipers.
The Sport version retains the same power output and performance figures as the standard car. However, the Chiron Sport is all about improved handling. The Bugatti gets a stiffer suspension and now gets new Dynamic Torque Vectoring.
Thanks to its better cornering the Bugatti Chiron Sport Laps the Nardo Ring a full fives seconds faster than the standard Chiron. Five seconds is simply an eternity in racing. The Sport not only handles better on the track, but is more nimble on a winding road.
The Bugatti Chiron Sport costs $3.26 million and the first customer deliveries are planned for later this year.
