Porsche 997 Maintenance
Prices of the 997 generation of the Porsche 911 are becoming very affordable on the used market. You can currently find well maintained examples with reasonable mileage for under $40,000.
Of course with a high-end sports car maintenance costs can quickly add up. The good news is that when compared to used Italian sports cars, the German engineering of the 911 costs much less to keep on the road.
The price of entry for 2008 and earlier 997s is a bit less than the 2009 and later examples. The pre-2009 cars feature the infamous IMS Beating design, but in 2009 Porsche went away from it.
This video talks about how much it costs to own a 997 over nine months. Obviously, costs will vary depending on how well maintained the car was before purchased, but this gives a good rough estimate.
