Porsche has unveiled the new eighth generation Porsche 911 (992). At first glance the new 2020 911 Carrera S looks a lot like the old 911.

Noticeable exterior styling changes over the outgoing model include the reworked front fascia and flush integrated electric door handles. The new 911 features a wide body design, from the rear it features a narrow light strip and exhaust tips that are integrated into the bumper.

The twin-turbocharged flat-six powered Porsche 911 Carrera S and 4S pumps out 443 horsepower. When optioned with the 8-speed PDK transmission the Carrera S can launch from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds and the 4S can hit the same mark in 3.4 seconds. It wasn’t that long ago that this was supercar performance.

When optioned with the Sports Chrono Package these 0-60 mph times go down to 3.3 seconds for the S and 3.2 seconds for the 4S. Flat out the Carrera S can hit a top speed of 191 mph and 190 mph for the all-wheel drive 4S.

Inside still feels very familiar for anyone that has driven a 991 generation car. The center console features clean angular lines as does elements of the dash. A new safety feature is the Night Vision Assist which utilizes a thermal imaging camera.

The 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S starts at $113,200 and the 911 Carrera 4S starts at $120,600. If you have the cash, you can order yours now and deliveries will begin summer of 2019.
