McLaren has unveiled the 600LT. The LT in McLaren 600LT stands for Longtail. This is a throwback to the first Longtail McLaren, the F1 GTR Longtail (LT).

The F1 GTR LT made its racing debut in the 1997 season. The competition machine managed a 1, 2 finish in the GT1 class at the 24 Hour of Le Mans. The McLaren F1 GTR LT was a track focused dedicated race car, and the 600LT was developed with the same philosophy.

The Dodge Challenger SRT Demon made its debut in New York in a press even during the New York Auto Show. We’ve had what seems like months of anticipation, but finally have the real numbers. The car’s name says about all you need to know as this new Dodge is so scary, it is straight from Hell.

The Demon is the car for people that look at the Challenger SRT Hellcat and say, 707 horsepower just isn’t enough. In a straight line it is hard to find a faster production car. We just need one second for us to pick our jaw up and then we can share the specification highlights.

Mercedes-AMG celebrates 50 years this year. AMG started as an external tuner of the Mercedes-Benz marquee before Mercedes eventually purchased them and brought them in-house.

To celebrate half a century of the two being under the same umbrella they have unveiled the Mercedes-AMG GT C Coupe. In the AMG GT lineup the C will sit between the S and the R.

This past weekend we were introduced to the Overfinch brand. The company specializes in modifying vehicles from Land Rover to make a much more exclusive and upscale SUV. Fittingly, they chose Pebble Beach to launch the brand in the US and we can tell you from first hand knowledge that they look stunning.

During Monterey Car Week one of the two models shown was the Overfinch Range Rover. They also make a Sport as well as an Evoque model, but we didn’t get a chance to take a look at the latter. However, the two they displayed were exquisite looking automobiles (we’ll talk more about the Sport model in a future article).

Porsche has unveiled the next generation of the Panamera. A few years ago Porsche Cars North America (PCNA) had us out to Atlanta to experience the last generation of the car on the road and track. While you either loved or hated the styling, there was no question the performance was there.

It was simply amazing how such a large sedan felt like it shrunk around you on the track and provided a ride and performance comparable to many pure sports car. It truly proved to be a four door sports car. So, how does this latest generation stack up against the solid outgoing car?
