We Test BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 Tires On A Porsche Boxster

BF Goodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2

Cars like the early Porsche Boxster (986) and 911 (996) are now extremely affordable. In fact you can get an early Boxster for as low as $5,000. However, even though you can pay a small amount of cash for the German sports car, parts are not as cheap as other cars (simply stating the obvious).

One area that can cost quite a bit is the tires. If you go for something like the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 or Pirelli PZero Rosso expect to pay about $1,200 for a set of four. But what do you do when you didn’t pay very much for the car and want a good ultra high performance tire that won’t break the bank?

2016 Cadillac CTS-v

As you probably already know, last week was Monterey Car Week. One of the fun things that you can do during the week is to drive some of the latest cars. We took the opportunity to check out the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V and drive it around Pebble Beach.

The CTS-V is GM’s answer to the BMW M5. It is powered by a supercharged V8 engine the pumps out 640 horsepower. The sedan can launch from 0-60 mph in just 3.7 seconds and can hit the magical 200 mph mark. So, this is not your Grandpa’s Cadillac.

2015 Chevy Camaro SS 1LE

For about a week now we have been driving a 2015 Chevy Camaro SS with the 1LE package (a.k.a. Track Pack). We’ve been getting to know the vehicle and have been filming a review of the American muscle car.

The powerful machine has an angry howl to the exhaust and it is ready for the road or the track. It is a more focused car than the standard Camaro, but it isn’t quite as hard core as the Z/28.

Hit the jump to see the teaser trailer and to see the specs of the 2015 Camaro SS with the 1LE package.

Our First Drive In A 2015 Ford Mustang GT

By   February 2, 2015

2015 Ford Mustang GT

2015 Ford Mustang GT

The 2015 Ford Mustang GT is quite a car. The American muscles car is powered by a powerful 435 horsepower V8 engine. More importantly, the new generation of the Mustang is the first to have an independent rear suspension.

For years Ford used a solid rear axle on their pony car. The American automaker managed to make the setup work decently, but it still left something to be desired when being driven hard in a corner.

The GT gives a small taste of what the Shelby GT350 will be like. Although that performance machine looks like it will be able to compete with some much higher priced cars. The GT offers plenty of thrills and the sound of the exhaust alone will sell plenty of these machines.

With over 400 horsepower and a starting price of just over $30,000, the ‘Stang GT is quite the V8 muscle car bargain. Plus with the improved handling it should make a great track day vehicle.

We were able to get our first drive in a 2015 Ford Mustang GT. In this video we take the car on a road test and see how well it can push you back in your seat. We then give our opinion on if the GT is a good car and talk about how it feels to drive.

The car was provided by the folks over at Lithia Ford Lincoln in Fresno, California. They have quite a selection of Mustangs and were very helpful in getting us one to drive.

Video: We Drive The Dodge Charger R/T And Talk V8 VS V6

Dodge Charger R/T

Dodge Charger R/T

Not too long ago Chrysler invited us to drive the new 2015 Dodge Charger lineup, including the SRT Hellcat (on the road and track). Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the event, but Heather was able to and she let me know that the cars were wonderful.

Well, I wanted to find out for myself, so I got in touch with my local Dodge dealer (Clovis, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram) and asked if I could get my hands on a 2015 Charger. The great folks over there were happy to provide me with an R/T with the 370 horsepower HEMI V8 engine.

This video is a review of the four door muscle car. In it I talk about how I like the car and if it is better to purchase a V8 or V6 machine. Is the new Charger better than the outgoing model and how does it compare to the competition? Watch the footage to find how the performance sedan stacks up.

Please note that we had an issue with our microphone, so sorry that the audio is not perfect. We fixed it as best we could in editing, but it isn’t quite where we prefer it (we also corrected the issue after we filmed this, so future videos won’t have the issue).

Thanks to Clovis Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram for providing the car. If you are ever in Central California make sure to check out their inventory.
