Rennsport Reunion V will take place September 25th-27th. It is the place to be for any Porsche enthusiast as you will see many of the cars made by the German marquee take to Laguna Seca. This is one of the few chances to see some of these historic machines in action.

Even if you aren’t a huge fan of Porsche, the chance to see a Le Mans winning 917 get driven as it was meant to be will make this event worth it. It is like going to the Porsche museum and watching the cars drive instead of just sitting there on exhibit.

This time we are asking if the Porsche 550 Spyder is the best pure sports car ever made. The sports car may be best known for being the automobile that James Dean was driving when he died, but it has a much richer history than that.

Both the Porsche 550 Spyder and Lotus 11 were very successful racing machines. While they may not have a lot of horsepower they are where good handling in their time and due to their low weight they are fairly quick.

The originals of these cars are worth quite a bit of money. Because of this most of us can only afford a replica.

This video from Fifth Gear features a track test of replicas of these two great cars. On the track both are a lot of fun to drive but which is better? Check out the video to find out.
