Magnus Walker is one of the biggest Porsche enthusiasts in the world. He has a huge collection of air-cooled 911s, which is what gained him fame as a car guy. He now has a new goal to collect one of every type of sports car that Porsche has made (interestingly, the Boxster didn’t make his list, but the Cayman did).

Recently, Magnus has been collecting front-engined water cooled sports cars from the German automaker. His stable now includes a Porsche 924 Carrera GT.

We are less than a month away from when we make our yearly pilgrimage to automotive Mecca. Monterey Car Week will be the place to be if you are an automotive enthusiast. From historic cars racing at Laguna Seca to car shows and auctions, the week has it all with everything leading up to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

One of the auction houses that will be in Monterey is Mecum. They will be offering over 600 collector cars including some very special Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Corvettes.

Why Is The Porsche 928 Not Considered A Supercar?

Many think that Porsche has produced three supercars. Normally the 959, Carrera GT and 918 Spyder are considered the company’s ultra high performance machines. Some would add the 911 Carrera RS 2.7, the 904 and the 550 Spyder to the list but the other three are the consensus picks. However, there is one car that filled the brand’s top model space, but isn’t normally mentioned in the supercar conversation.

The Porsche 928 is often thought of as possibly the best GT car ever made, but is it more than that. Should the V8 powered cruiser also be considered a supercar?
