Mazda has announced a price increase for the Mazda MX-5 Cup race cars. Starting on September 7th, the competition machine will start at $58,900 versus the $53,000 starting price of the first 108 cars. The Japanese car maker is offering loyal customers who have already purchased an MX-5 Cup car to purchase additional cars at the original price through Friday, September 16th of 2016.
The price increase does come with some enhancements to the current model. There have been a number of improvements since the car was launched with a motorsports-specific gearbox, motorsports-specific engine brackets, differential bushing inserts, addition of fuel pump-out kit per customer request and ECU hardware and software updates being the largest changes.
This week is the New York International Auto Show and for Porsche they will be having the new Porsche 911 (991) GT3 making its North American debut. The new Porsche 911 GT3 is quite a technological wonder and much of what is on the new street car is taken from the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. This further cements the Porsche 911 GT3 as a race car for the street.
This video is mainly about the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. The video shows all of the technical specifications that should make the car a whole lot faster. The video features some great footage of the car on the track and boy does it look like it will be fast.
Beyond the technical specifications and the footage of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car there is a bit of footage of the new Porsche 911 GT3. The new Porsche 911 GT3 looks like it wil be quite a good performing car and it will get even more potent in RS form. The only thing with it is that you can’t get a manual transmission and while it will perform better without it, there are a lot of people that would prefer to have that option on the driver’s Porsche.
