When you think of American supercars, there are a handful of cars that come to mind. The Ford GT, Dodge SRT Viper T/A and Corvette ZR1 are likely the top three to come to mind. Of course all of these are out of reach of many of us, but there are a couple of American supercars that are now very affordable thanks to good old fashioned depreciation.

The Dodge Viper from the very beginning was an insane supercar. The first generation 1991-1995 car, thanks in part to the 400 horsepower V10, could launch from 0-60 mph in just 4.2 seconds.

The early Viper followed the model of the Shelby A/C Cobra roadster. Put a big engine in a fairly lightweight roadster (3,284 lb.) and you have a road legal rocket.
