In 1990 Mitsubishi released the GTO. Since the Japanese sports car would be exported to the US, the GTO model designation was not allowed on our shores. GM already had the rights to that for their famed Pontiac GTO. Because of this, the car would be marketed as the Mitsubishi 3000GT in the states.

Fortunately, this didn’t stop the car from coming across the pond. The 3000GT was so advanced for its time that we are just seeing some of the advancements it featured in other high performance cars.

The 2018 Ford Mustang GT offers a ton of performance in a fairly affordable package. The GT pumps out 460 horsepower which is enough to cause plenty of trouble when a teenage owner leaves a Cars and Coffee event.

The Mustang GT is a quick car by any standard and provides a lot of performance for the money. Ford claims a 0-60 mph time of under 4 seconds for the 10-speed automatic version of the ‘Stang. But is this just a case of a manufacturer being over optimistic?
