Certain years of the Lotus Esprit provide supercar ownership for a very affordable price. For as low as $13,000 you can find a decent Esprit from the late 70’s and early 80’s. The later V8 cars tend to command premium over their earlier four cylinder counterparts, but with a budget between $15,000 and $20,000 you can easily find a very good example of an earlier Esprit.

The Lotus provides a spirited driving experience and a classic wedge shape, popular in supercars of the 70’s and 80’s. The reliability can be an issue, but there are things that can be done to improve that.

You may not know it, but Jay Leno is not a Ferrari guy. His collection includes cars from Lamborghini, McLaren and Porsche, but not any with the prancing horse on the badge.

With the size of Jay’s collection it is amazing to think that he doesn’t own something like the above pictured Ferrari F40. In fact Jay Leon’s Garage recently filmed him taking his first drive in an F40 after 29 years of waiting.

How Do You Say The Porsche In The GT3 RS’s Name?

One of the most asked questions in the car world is how do you pronounce the word Porsche. Is it Porsh(uh), Porsh or Porsh(eh)?

Some car guys, including Jay Leno, say Porsh while other purists would say it is an unforgivable sin if you say it that way. For many of them Porsh(uh) is how the British guy on the ads says it, so to say anything else would make Ferdinand Porsche roll in his grave. Others will point out that in German it sounds like Porsh(eh), so that settles it, or does it?

Jay Leno is one of the best known car guys in the world. The comedian and former host of the Tonight Show has an incredible collection of automobiles. His machines range from steam cars and Duesenbergs to newer Lamborghinis and Porsches.

With all of his success and fame it would be easy for one to get a big head. On camera he seems like he is a very personable and down to earth guy, but how is he in real life?
