The Porsche 918 Spyder is a technically incredible achievement. A very fuel efficient car that also managed a 6:57 lap time at the Nurburgring. The plug-in hybrid supercar has styling that maintains the look of a Porsche while still looking noticeably different than a 911.

This video by Motor Trend is from before we knew all the exact specifications of the final production car. The footage follows the car at the Nurburgring during its development and contains interviews with some people that were very important in the cars development.

The new Porsche 911 Turbo S (991) is a super powerful 560 horsepower rocket. The Turbo S is so fast that from 0 to 60 mph it is just one tenth of a second slower than the current Bugatti Veyron. The handling of this new turbocharged car is also a much better handling car thanks in part to its four wheel steering as well as a very nice suspension setup.

Recently, select media outlets were sent to Germany to test out the new 991 Turbo S on the track. This video from Motor Trend shows their first time in the car. It looks like it won’t disappoint most people (other than those that don’t want a PDK transmission). The footage also features rally racing legend Walter Rohrl.

Check out the video and then let us know what you think of the new Porsche 911 Turbo S in the comments.
