Pebble Beach Automotive Week is in full swing and it has been great so far. All the events lead up to the grand finale, the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.

Where else can you walk around town and see new supercars and valuable classics driving around town. Walking around Pebble Beach and Monterey you see plenty of Porsches, Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

McLaren MP4-12C at Pebble Beach

I personally saw a number of classic 911s as well as a few 911 GT3s. When walking around downtown Monterey we spotted the above McLaren MP4-12C driving around town.

There have also been plenty of Aston Martins driving around town. We were also lucky enough to drive by the new 2014 Corvette Stingray as it was driving between events.

We will be sharing more pictures and video from the event over the rest of the weekend and into next week. So, keep reading and subscribe if you haven’t already done so.

Drive at the Nurburgring

For many sports car enthusiasts the dream of driving the Nurburgring is a life long goal. If you travel to Germany from the United States to drive the famous track, then you may want a good sports car to drive on the track. Well, RSRNurburg has a good option for those wanting to drive a car like a Porsche 911 on the track. They allow you to rent high performance cars like a 911, Nissan GT-R, McLaren MP4-12C and more.

This video highlights some of the rental services that they provide. It also shows footage of the other services they provide beyond rentals. This includes driver training, so you can know how to drive the difficult track quickly and safely. There is also footage from other videos that they have produced revolving around the Nurburguring.

Sometimes there are not really worlds to describe something. That is the case with the latest video that evo has released. The video is simple, no talking or commentary, just three great supercars driving.

The video features a Ferrari 458 Italia, Audi R8 Plus and McLaren MP4-12C. All three cars are driven on some nice curvy roads and the short video captures the sound and feel of driving them.

Now check out the video as words just can’t do it justice.

The McLaren P1 Unveiling At The Geneva Motor Show – Video

By   March 6, 2013

One of the big cars to be unveiled today was the McLaren P1. The hybrid supercar has over 900hp available when the electric engine works with the gas powered engine. The car should be able to go well over 200MPH and will help McLaren compete against the Ferrari LaFerrari and the Porsche 918 Spyder.

The above video shows the unveiling of the McLaren P1 at the Geneva Motor Show. The video shows the type of engineering that went into the new McLaren. The McLaren P1 is the successor to the legendary McLaren F1 and gives McLaren an incredible supercar to go along side their already good McLaren MP4-12C. Between McLaren, Porsche and Ferrari the supercar wars are really heating up and dare I say, these cars make a hybrid desirable (at least a hybrid supercar).

“Captain Slow” Chooses a Supercar as His 2012 Car of the Year? – Video

By   January 16, 2013

U.K. Top Gear’s James May is tends to be more at home in a Rolls Royce than in a high performance supercar which is one reason that he has been nicknamed “Captain Slow”. Having said this it is time for James to name his car of the year and surprise it isn’t a luxury vehicle. Instead he chooses one of the best supercars available today the McLaren 12C Spider (also sometimes referred to as the McLaren MP4-12C Spider).

The McLaren 12C Spider is quite a car, in fact the convertible version has essentially the exact same performance as its hard top sibling. The above video shows James talking about his choice for his 2012 Car of the Year. The video also has some great footage of the car being driven, including the wonderful sound of that exhaust (having seen a couple in person, it is even better in real life).
