The new Porsche 911 GT3 (991) looks like quite a car. EVO got a chance to drive the new rear-engined supercar on both the road and track. The new fire breathing car is capable of frightening performance on the track. The 991 is a bigger car than previous 911s, but it doesn’t feel too big when driving it on the road.

To give a reference point EVO compares the 991 GT3 against the McLaren 12C on the track and the Nissan GT-R on the road. Both of those cars are some of the best in their classes, but is the GT3 close to those? Beyond this comparison the below video talks about the difference from previous GT3s and discusses what has been gained or lost in the new version.

Check out the video and then let us know what you think of the new Porsche 911 GT3 in the comments below.

Video: Matt Farah Reviews The Jaguar F-Type

Jaguar F-Type

Jaguar F-Type

The new Jaguar F-Type is looking to take on the big boys, specifically the Porsche 911. The 911 is the better car; it is faster, handles better and is more desirable to many people. Having said that the F-Type is a beautiful looking car that when mated to the right engine and supercharger can provide you with plenty of performance.

The car is all about the driving experience and a bit of theater when driving. The 911 is a precision tool, like a scalpel, but the F-Type is more like a chain saw. Either car is good and if you are driving on the track the 911 is the one to get, but if you are just looking for a bit of fun while driving on the road then the F-Type is hard to beat.

Check out this video and then let us know if you would rather own a Porsche 911 or a Jaguar F-Type in the comments.

Video: In The Ferrari 458 The Best Ferrari Currently Available

By   August 8, 2013

The Ferrari 458 Italia

The Ferrari 458 Italia

Many think that the styling of the Ferrari 458 Italia is the best styling by the Italian sports car maker in years. And no wonder as if you just look at the car you will see just how beautiful it is. The F430 that it replaced was a good car, but the styling of the 458 just stands out a more.

The mid-engined car is powered by a V8 engine that can rocket the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.4 seconds and keep going to a top speed of 202 mph. The car is so well sorted out and is a Ferrari that you can live with even on longer trips. Of course the best part is the music of the V8 and the awesome performance.

There are only two complaints with this car. The turning signals are on the steering wheel which makes them difficult to find if you are turning the wheel and the navigation map shows up in place of the speedometer if you need to use it. But those small flaws are quickly overlooked when you bury your right foot to the floor.

This video shows a review of the 458 and shows you just what makes it such a wonderful car. It shows the features that make it so desirable and has the wonderful sound of that V8 while driving.

First Drives Of The 2014 Corvette Stingray

2014 Corvette Stingray Gets Driven

The first reviews of the new 2014 Corvette Stingray (C7) have been released and Motor Trend and Car and Driver are the first two publications to get to drive the car. Both magazines have released videos reviewing the V8 monster that is capable of going from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds. The car puts out an earth moving 455 horsepower straight from the factory.

Both reviews are of cars that come with the Z51 package. The optional package is designed for those that would like to autocross or track their cars occasionally. The package adds additional cooling for the car to keep it running well when pushed hard.

The C7 Corvette is arguably the best Corvette ever made. You get incredible performance and good handling from a package that is much more upscale than previous models. Not bad for a sports car that has a base price of just over $50,000.

Both of these videos are informative and show what the car is capable of, but the Motor Trend review is a bit more entertaining.

Watch the videos and then let us know what you think of the new Corvette Stingray in the comments below.
