Porsche 911 Targa (991) Caught Testing With Top Off

Porsche 911 Targa (991) Caught Testing

We have shown video evidence that Porsche is working on a new 991 Targa that will have a removable hard top like the original 911 Targas. Up until now all of the evidence had the hard top on, so we were going on visual clues that make it appear to have a hard top. The car has been wearing camouflage to make it look like a convertible at first glance.

Well, a new video was just uploaded to YouTube that shows the new Targa with its hard top removed. You can clearly see the design of the new open-air car and how Porsche is getting back to its roots for the car. We like the return to the classic style and think it will make a big splash.

Let us know what you think about it in the comments below.

Porsche 911 (991) GT3 Testing At Nurburgring – Video

Porsche 911 (991) GT3 Testing at Nurburgring

Porsche 911 (991) GT3 Track Testing

The new Porsche 911 (991) GT3 is a focused driver’s car that looks to be very fast. The naturally aspirated sports car will put out 475 horsepower and all that power is mated to a seven-speed PDK transmisson that will shift faster than any human ever could (I’ll save my lament for the traditionalmanual transmission). The car should be a monster on the track and will keep up with more expensive sports cars.

Porsche has been doing pre-production testing of the new GT3 recently at the Nurburgring. This video captures the German sports car being driven quickly around the track. It captures the exhaust note and you can see how well it handles on the corners. It is a short video, but it sure makes me itch to get behind the wheel of one.

New Porsche 911 (991) Targa Caught Testing – Video

By   April 15, 2013

Last year news surfaced that Porsche may be releasing a new Targa version of the 911. While a Targa version has existed for a while, it has been since the ’80s that we have seen a true removable hard top on the car. The more recent versions have been what most would consider cars with very large glass sun roofs.

We had based the fact that the Targa would be going back to its roots with some spy shots that were released last year. Well, we now have a video that has caught the new Porsche 911 (991) Targa testing in Germany. The car is wearing minimal camouflage and you can definitely see the lines the show the top being removable.

By   February 5, 2013

The Ferrari F150 is set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in about a month. The replacement for the Enzo Ferrari has some very bug shows to fill, but it looks like Ferrari may have something great in the works. The car is rumored to have a V12 that will have up to 800 hp when an additional 150 hp is added from its KERS system. This should make it interesting with the Porsche 918 Spyder coming out, we will see if Ferrari or Porsche has the better machine.

The above video shows the Ferrari F150 testing in camouflage. The car, even in the camouflage looks good, but it is the sound that really stirs the soul. The video features both the F150 and the Enzo that it is going to be replacing, so get ready for a Ferrari enthusiasts dream.
