This weekend (May 30th and 31st) is the opening round of the Red Bull Global Rallycross season. It all begins in Fort Lauderdale and details about the challenging track have just been released.

For the first time since the 2012 X Games Los Angeles a road course will be used. The choice of the track should give contenders Scott Speed and Nelson Piquet Jr. an advantage as they have been competing on street courses in Formula E.

Porsche Cars North America Experience Center

You may already know that Porsche recently opened their $100 million Experience Center and North American Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. The new facility is located at One Porsche Drive and offers a fine dining restaurant, track, restoration center, classic car gallery and event center.

Now $100 million is a good chunk of change and you may be asking why they built the facility to begin with. Having been invited to past Porsche events in Atlanta, we may be able to give an idea of the advantages of such a place.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Cayman GT4

Both the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991) and Cayman GT4 made their debuts at the Geneva Motor Show. Both machines are made for a racing circuit and each can keep up with much more expensive cars.

GT4s are already sold out in some countries and the GT3 RS will likely do very well in its market. The Cayman is very neutral and predictable. The 911 is a pure race car for the street.

Walter Rohrl or the Porsche 904 GTS, we don’t know which is the bigger legend. When you take an incredible racing machine and put an extremely talented driver behind the wheel, it is a thing of beauty.

This video features the 904 being driven with Mr. Rohrl at the wheel. He takes the classic racing machine on the track for some quick laps. It captures some of his driving technique as well as the sound of that wonderful Porsche engine.
