If you’re in the market for a new high performance vehicle that won’t break the bank then the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 may be right up your alley. The very quick car gets dangerously close to the Corvette Z06 in specs, but it offer a bit of practicality with its rear seats (although they are only really suitable for younger children).
The 650 horsepower supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 powered pony car is just a few tenths of a second slower than the new Z06 to 60 mph. Thanks to its lower weight it is also quicker than the 707 horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat.
Last year Chevrolet let us enjoy a fifth-generation Camaro with the 1LE Package and it made for quite the machine. The car we were given even had the optional Recaro seats (and they are definitely worth the extra cost). The package transformed the already capable SS into a better handling more potent machine ready to take on the track.
This time around all the handling fun is also available for sixth-generation cars with the V6 power plant as well as the V8. The upgraded suspension, brakes and tires really allow you to perform better in the curves. However, it is the cooling improvements that are probably the biggest feature on the track as they help protect your engine when you put it through a grueling day of hard driving.
For years the Porsche 911 has been a leader in the sportscarindustry. However, Ferrari is now gearing up to change that with its plans for a new Turbocharged V6 model. The manufacturer certainly has a tough challenge ahead. The ever-changing, hugely diversified and competitive market features some of the most impressive cars in the world. At the moment it’s just a rumor, but that hasn’t stopped V6 enthusiasts getting excited.

In the above video evo’s Harry Metcalfe gets a ride in both the V8 and V6 version of the car to help him decide which car is the better. The video gives you an idea of what the two variants are all about. In less than two months we will get much more information about the Jaguar F-Type and it will be interesting to see how the car compares to other roadsters already available.
